Friday, March 23, 2012 - Medium garnet color in the glass. Clove, pepper and smoke on the nose. Medium bodied but the spice carries over on the palate along with plum, cassis and blackberry. Still ample but well integrated tannins. Update: evolved after 2 hours to reveal additional minerality with notes of leather and mocha. Very nice bottle of wine. drank with Matt and Molly with Italian dinner, watching Carolina/Ohio game
