Gave this hours to decant, poured it back into the bottle and took it to Arroyo for dinner. The extra time to breathe took it to a higher level-big, powerful dark fruit, with the flavor of cigar box and slate, the tannins developing a smooth silkiness that wasn't as pronounced (I think) as the last time. This has to rest a few years more before it fully expresses itself. When I arrived home, I double checked for any more-sad to say, this time it's official.
