86 Points

Saturday, May 12, 2012 - Dark red color, has a warm red hue which hints at it's 10 years of age. The nose is slightly faint and gentle but gives me associations with leather, and walking into old dusty wooden cabins. There is something archtypical Pinot showing as well, but difficult to put my finger on it.

The palate is a bit unbalanced towards the sour side. It is good and shows plenty of fruit, but also feels a bit like chewing on an unripe apple. Firstly the acid dominates, but after half an hour in the glass some tannins come as well. Decent concentration and a short but pleasant ending, but unfortunately this is overshadowed by the unbalanced tannins.

50+5+11+13+7 = 86p
