Lighter weight, good acidity, and gradually, the Charvin raspberry fruit appears with some licorice. Prickly finish. This is well short of how good this wine can be, or at least was as of a year ago. Probably the best advice is to drink up. I thought it was at its best in mid-2011, and unless you have a really cold cellar, this assessment is probably accurate.
