Tuesday, April 2, 2013 - Medium yellow color. All Chablis on the nose-brothy salinity and oyster shell. The fruit is in the background; let's say 80% yellow apple and 20% bitter lemon. Medium to full body with a gloriously sappy feel-in this respect, closer in style to Raveneau than Dauvissat usually is. As was my impression about a year and a half ago, the only thing missing that would make it great is some acidity, and that is the essential character of the vintage. As interesting and excellent as this is, it leaves me longing for a little more bite and edge.
