Sunday, April 28, 2013 - Famille Perrin tasting event (Brussels): Rather closed, certainly in comparison with the Beaucastel blanc of the same vintage which we drank during the same flight. White fruit such as pear and honey at the nose, very subtle with nicely integrated oak. Powerfully dry on the palate at the onset, full-bodied with more fruit breaking through on the mid-palate and some star anise at the finish. Well-balanced but possibly not the best moment to drink it without giving it a lot of air first.
