Monday, May 13, 2013 - This is a nice little wine. Red cherry fruit, sure the fruit is a jolly-rancher-ish but there's none of the overripe black cherry cola flavors that I detest and that are so common in RRV pinot. There's plenty of acidity so that the wine is juicy and there's a nice sweet/tart balance. Medium-bodied, with some soft, fuzzy tannin that gives the wine texture, but this is not "structured" and I don't see this being a long ager. Perhaps nothing special in the big picture but I find a lot of CA pinot virtually undrinkable, so ending up in the "drinkable" column is quite an accomplishment for me, especially at this price point.
