Thursday, May 23, 2013 - Very nice mature expressive CdP, if missing the explosiveness of some bottles of '01. Spice, garrigue, and sandalwood on the nose along with a floral expression of a red fruit liquor. Palate of cherry pit, licorice, along with a wonderful line of spice and herbs. Has chalky slightly bitter tannins on the transition to the finish. Red fruit really comes to the forefront on the finish. A wonderful, complete expression of classic Cdp. Balanced, drinking perfectly now, with nice spice and energy and showing no signs of fading soon.
