The tannins seem subdued, but the wine itself still seems a little closed at this point. A big, powerful and full bodied pinot noir. Nicely structured. A very long and extended finish. Not at all near its full potential. Purportedly, this wine is the winemaker's last vintage - a big loss for wine consumers! This wine should score higher after further development.
