Wednesday, June 26, 2013 - Decanted 3+ hours, followed over a few more. 15.7% ABV

Day 1: Grenache, Syrah, and Viognier...love it...raspberry, strawberry, cherry, vanilla, cured meat, pepper...then shows much more...florals, soy sauce, lemon peel, hint of hoisin/plum, molasses, leather...all kinds of depth.

The alcohol pokes its way through that depth a bit though. Long finish, 60+ seconds. Silky smooth tannins.

Leftovers rebottled and recorked overnight.

Day 2: This has opened up a bit more, but it's not a huge difference between yesterday and today. Still get a bit of alcohol on the finish, but aside from that a great bottle as always from SQN.

Needs some time in a decanter if drinking in the next few years, and will drink well for easily another decade after that.
