Tuesday, August 6, 2013 - Rose and tar, spice and a hint of orange zest on the nose. I have little experience with this grape and this region, but the complexity and depth of the bouquet lives up to the reputation. On the palate it is almost immediately evident that the wine is still too young. The subtle flavours are complex, but still not at the forefront of the structure. Tannins still a little grippy, but still some nice acidity. I could see this evolving and becoming much more special over the next five years or more.
