Thursday, August 29, 2013 - Still just a baby. This needs a serious decant if you're going to drink it anytime soon. Once it unwinds, you get gorgeous aromas of cassis, black cherry, dusty dried herb, and also a minerally dust that's incredible. On the palate it's got plenty of tannin and acidity, helping frame the ripe flavors of plum, blackberry, and blueberry. Secondary flavors of black tea, baking chocolate, and subtle eucalyptus all balance each other out. A gorgeous wine that will only get better with age.
