Cork broke so we decanted this for about an hour. I really loved the wine. It was powerful and almost attacked your mouth from the beginning. Lots of flavor of plums and black currants. It was just a mouthful. A little dry at the end, which lowered the score some. Sorry to say my last bottle.

Fragrant nose with lots of dark fruit, cherries, cassis, spicy pepper notes, some oak, and smoke. Ripe fruit, but hiding the alcohol quite well, and balanced by a good amount of acidity and structural tannins on the palate with similar flavors. Long finish. This is really lovely, a big wine but by no means overdone. At this point it’s all about the fruit, but it has plenty of backbone to age. Not usually my style, but I enjoyed this thoroughly. 93+

Tight, dark and impenetrable on opening. Softened a bit over two days in the opened bottle. Blackberry, graphite, very fine grained tannins. Intense with nice balance, but not giving a lot of pleasure yet. No noticeable oak flavors. I’d hold these if I had additional bottles.

Absolutely delicious. This is such a pleasure to drink right now. It has years (decade(s)) of life left. But if you have more than just one, you're depriving yourself if you don't try it now. And my tastes typically lean towards giving reds more time in the cellar.
PNP and experienced the tannins noted in recent TNs. In response double decanted, plenty of sediment. Wine took a while to wake up the nose and the flavor profile. Noted menthol and dark fruit flavors, a fine, consistent finish. Excited for day 2. Will hold last bottle 5+ more years.

Decanted and strained for sediment (lots)…Wow, this is truly singing right now. Fruit intact, but far from in your face, tannins softened and sweetened a bit, but firmly present. A little gravel at the mid, to balance the cherries up front. Not at all oaky. A lot going on in an extremely well made wine that could easily go head to head with Cabs at 3x the price point. Wonderful stuff!

Decanted for two hours. Very dark in the glass, with bloody meat aromas, heady raspberries and some lighter blue notes on the nose. Tannic on the palate but not overwhelmingly, no real oak flavours and instead just lots of ripe blackberries and raspberries. This will definitely continue to go and go but drinking lovely now and stood up perfectly to a rich beef liver dish.

Dark sweet black fruit on the nose. Eucalyptus, dark black fruit and a touch of raisins on the palate. Enough fruit and grip for another decade. Night three notes: This is in a way better place tonight which portends greatly for the future. Raisiny notes have faded to dark black cherry and grip. The nose is more expansive with black raspberry and eucalyptus notes. Great wine. Bumping this up to 93 points. I wish I had another bottle for ten years from now!

Decanted 2 hrs prior to service. I thought it was excellent, others at the table felt it was too tannic. I think it needs more time for the tannins to mellow out or would suggest more time in a decanter prior to service. I think this wine needs food. Great effort from Morgan though.

Pop and pour, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, red licorice, menthol, and tobacco with blue - blueberry - and black - blackberry - fruit. Palate: Medium-full bodied, spicy dark fruit attack, solid acidic backbone, spice driven mid-palate lift, tobacco and earthy notes appear in the back-end. Finish: Lengthy, 45-60 seconds, dominated by dark fruit, eucalyptus and dark earth. My second bottle in the past month and this one is showing noticeably better.

Consumed over 3 days, vacuvined and refrigerated, note from day 3. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, classic cabernet characteristics - earthy dark fruit - black cherry, blackberry, and plum with eucalyptus and tobacco. Palate: full bodied, dark fruit attack with subtle tobacco and leather undertones thru the mid-palate though surprisingly thin, tobacco, leather, and spicy notes dominate the back-end. Finish: Medium length, 30-45 seconds, showing dark fruit - blackberry and plum, leather, and spice. The mid-palate thinness, typical of many Sonoma cabernets from my experience, slightly detracts from an otherwise exceptional experience here.

Way different than the last bottle and confirmed my suspect that the last one was cooked. Plum, sweet chocolate, eucalyptus and a little bit of wild strawberries. Palate is seamless. Nice bottle. Fruit forward with brambly red fruit, medium plus acidity, chocolate, medium tannin, a bit oaky. My experience with Sonoma cab is pretty limited, and this drinks as a more fruit forward Napa cab without any jammy-ness or the purple drank. Dark purple color, but no drank ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Probably has a long life left, not going to open my other bottle for at least 3 years.

Short decant and consumed over three + hours. Dark fruits, oak, graphite, leather, and earthy notes in a old world style. Fine tannins with modest grip. A well made, well balanced wine with good acidity. A tad too much oak for us (maybe it fades with more time?) but otherwise very nice. 91-92 range.

Delicate, lovely, just entering it's drinking window. Matches perfectly with some soft stinky Bourgogne cheese. This is so much of what used to be in Napa. Lightness, transparency, beguiling the 14.5% alcohol. If only it could be dialed down to 13%. Easily surpasses wines at five times the price.

Dense with good fruit. Seems young yet with persistent tannins breaking through on the finish. I bet in a few years, this one rocks and goes for 10+ yet. Decant recommended, but suggest these are a HOLD.

Decanted 1 hour, although I don't think this needed it. Very delicious nose of fig and blackberry, following to the palate. I don't usually get blackberry fruit from a Cab, so quite interesting. Flavors are amazingly lush and creamy, good acid, tannins are light and slightly chewy. This is a very well-made wine that should last for another decade or more. Drink now - 2030.

PnD let air for 2hrs. Deep dense dark purple with dark plum to clear rim. Fig cassis black licorice mocha cedar and incense on the nose wildly expressive complex and very ripe nose. Medium(+) weight with ripe cherry skin tannins. This is very ripe but still fresh with black fruits licorice coffee mocha and cedar flavours on the palate. If tasted blind would be more likely to guess Zin than Cab as it has a prominent blackberry and sage finish that suggests Zin. Will hold onto my last bottle for at least a couple more years. 91 pts plus an extra one for the wonderful nose.

Classic cassis and some pencil lead, not overtly oaked, but some spice to the nose; good blackberry dark fruit to the body, usual Bedrock acid backbone with tannins with grip but not harsh. good finish. Will sav emy last bottle a few years, but good now.

Dark cherry, cassis and cherry liquor on the nose with a hit of herb and oak. Palate is explosive, cherry and currants galore, some tea and a fairly massive tannic/acidic backbone that does dissipate so it allows it to be enjoyed now. The tail end has a sweetness that makes it kinda taste like cherry jolly-rancher. There is a lingering milk chocolate and sweet cooking spices as the night progresses. This wine is insanely good and has similar profiles to some HSS and Insignia's that I've had. Great deal.

This wine was much better than I expected it to be. The fruit profile was a bit different than most California Cabernet with more blueberry and boysenberry notes. The spice one expects is there. It probably was a bit young, but not undrinkably so.

very nice. Fresh, brighter/rounder than expected - fruit hasn't moved much since I tried this at the pickup party a few years ago (?). Has some backbone, but still a very forward wine.
The fruit speaks more to Bedrock Vineyard (and the zin blends I've tasted) than it does to Cabernet per se - and I find that to be really interesting.

Dark garnet color with promising red and black fruits, tobacco, and hints of spice and herb aromas. Very dark, dry and almost austere with nice core of dark, dark fruit. It is subdued and tight and even time in glass didn't change, but it has nice structure and backbone and an old school cab approach

Pour through Vinturi for approx. 30 min. decant ... This was our first Bedrock pure Cab and, while it's still a little tightly wound and could definitely benefit from some additional bottle age, it's still quite good. Smooth, fresh red fruits to open with some more pucker-inducing sour cherry and cranberry notes as it progresses. Very dry, with a firm tannic backbone and a good bit of acid on the backend. Some earth and just a hint of coffee. Quite good now, but seems built of the stuff that will only continue to improve with time.

Pnp. Wow. Cassis, florals, perfume. This is tight as a snare drum and kind of a brute, and yet bursting with prudish personality if you watch how it imposes structure and density. Cool nose with no volatility at all, there is cassis and florals there. Extremely firm structure and tannins with pure vibrant cassis going to stems and perfume and florals and finishing with herbal minty goodness even as the tannin clamp down hard. I don't even really care for cassis, but it is so focused and vibrant in this wine you can't help but like it. Insane balance. So pure, vibrant, and distinctly layered, this is decidedly old school as advertised. Lean-ish for cab, but powerful. Really really good for a wine geek exercise right now, but in 10-15 years this is going to blow everyone's hair back. 93-96.
Day two- Still brutal. The components are starting to meld a bit, but it's become awkward and muddled, showing the time it needs. Pretty spiffy getting a cab like this nowadays. Thanks MTP.

Still just a baby. This needs a serious decant if you're going to drink it anytime soon. Once it unwinds, you get gorgeous aromas of cassis, black cherry, dusty dried herb, and also a minerally dust that's incredible. On the palate it's got plenty of tannin and acidity, helping frame the ripe flavors of plum, blackberry, and blueberry. Secondary flavors of black tea, baking chocolate, and subtle eucalyptus all balance each other out. A gorgeous wine that will only get better with age.

What's old is new and what's new is old. Extracted without a trace of sweetness. High degree of acid just asking for some food. Here comes the minerals, specific to place and time. New world wine in an old world overcoat. What wonderful juice. Way to young but drinking quite well. This is how it's meant to be. Bravo!
Decanted for 90 minutes, then drank over the next 4 hours. It was still tight and tannic around the 2 hour mark, but then opened up after that. Aroma of tar, licorice and black fruits. Solid dark fruit on the palate, with a bit of acidity kicking in on the finish. The only complaint I would have is that it seemed just a bit thin on the mid-palate.

Very interesting wine, decanted two hours, at this point the wine was drinking very well and it was pretty accessible, after a period of time it sort of closed down, tannins became much more apparent, then with more time it started to open up again, and drink well. Black currants, vanillin and toast.

Tasted at the bedrock pickup day. Kicking myself for not buying some at the last release. Last time I had this, it was an aromatic pleasure, but quite tight so figured it would be years before opening up. I don't have much patience and with my experience on the 2008 red wine #2 (still a baby), I figured it best to pass. I was wrong.... The 2010 cab is signing right now. Still quite structured, with chewy tannins, but abundant fruit as well. What a beauty. Loving the 2010s from both valleys

Very nice wine. Drank over 2 hours. This is very open, radiant and lush on opening but certainly opens further with time in the glass. The palate has a dark chocolate note to accompany the dark berries. The palate has great balance and smooth tannins. Drink or hold.

Popped and splash decanted. Medium-plus bright ruby/purple hue. Upon decanting, expressive aromas waft upwards, filling the immediate vicinity with lifted blackberry and cassis fruit that is complemented by a distinct impression of stoney minerals and subtle spice from oak. With air, additional herbaceous/tobacco nuances appear. Medium to medium-plus body, elegance personified. On the palate, the fruit is again so fresh and poised...one truly gets an impression of distinctive Sonoma terrior and here again it's hard to deny the impression of minerals tinged on the moderate-plus close. The tannins are certainly somewhat chalky, but overall show as well-rounded and never too drying (perfectly astringent, if that makes sense). Although the winemaker recommends laying these down sideways for many years, this bottle showed beautifully. What a great representation of Sonoma Cabernet, benchmark even.

Great deal.

Two hour decant. Lots of dark fruits along with a slight herbaceous note at the mid palate. Still big and should have a long life ahead.

Big, young, dark purple fruited cab with a kiss of French oak. Just beginning to integrate. Concentrated and smooth with fine grained tannins on the finish. Nice balance. Should continue to develop complexity.

Walt, Kate, and I liked this wine a lot but Lisa was not a fan. Solid cabernet fruit and structure - lots of herb/floral notes in the mouth. Solid and smooth finish with a little tannic grip still hanging on.

The first Cab from Bedrock I have tried, and boy was it good. Dark/inky. Lots of fruit, kept in check by rounded tannins. Long aftertaste that keeps lingering.

On the palate it's full-bodied with very good acidity, and pleasing, well integrated , dusty tannins with black cherry, and blackberry flavors with hints of sweet tobacco, cassis, and sweet satisfying lingering finish.
