Tuesday, October 22, 2013 - Typically superb Mount Eden Estate Chard. Wonderful golden color, fairly effusive nose, bright acidity evident. Needs 1-3 hours of breathing and is best as it warms from cellar temperature. Wonderful with a seafood risotto. Flavors are bright with lemon curd, pear, nice minerality and some well integrated oak that is balanced with the fruit and acidity. Some nuttiness that is hard to precisely identify. Long aftertaste.
