Saturday, December 28, 2013 - A typical left bank Bordeaux, exactly what you expect from a 2000 and does not disappoint. Great full and round mouthfeel with a decent amount of lacey tannins. Black currant all around with surprisingly enough fruit for a 13 year old wine. Some tobacco & licorice notes at the end. Loved it a lot! I would have wanted to have decanted it for a few hours, but we were in a restaurant. Paired it with some nice Rack of Lamb in Cardamon sauce... although this wine would not have been my ideal pairing, since we had to compromise for the group, it still went quite well with my dish.
