Saturday, February 1, 2014 - Decanted 2 hours, consumed with veal saltimbocca. Fresh, ripe dark fruit on the nose. Medium concentration on the palate, I would say fruit forward but in no way overblown and underlying structure to hold it together well. Dark flesh and berry fruit, hint of spice. Nicely balanced and integrated. Tannins remain but are unobtrusive with a medium/short finish. Excellent. Drink now with decant but may provide increased enjoyment with more bottle time.
