Friday, March 7, 2014 - Tonight the 2007 Pesenti delivered better than every before - to a lovely chicken molé and exquisitely made pulled pork this wine was somewhat of a revelation. The nose offers up that classical Zinfandel tones which can be quite intriguing and lovely: soft shellfish, sun warm strawberries and sweet licorice. The palate follow through nicely with a balanced but still adorable acidity and a very nice integration. There is a whiff of heat in the end palate but still, this wine is certainly a treat for the Zinfandel addict!
