Wednesday, March 19, 2014 - The wine was bright medium yellow-golden in colour and offered a rather shy nose of citrus, apple, butter, almond, beeswax, mineral notes, chalk and firestone. On the palate the wine showed citrus, peach and red apple fruit flavours verging on the edge of tropical, joined by roasted nuts, almond and intense mineral notes including firestone, paired with a very mild spiciness, medium-plus well-integrated acidity, a good, rich mouthfeel and very good length. The medium- to full-bodied, very balanced wine kept improving with air. Its full, generous style was balanced by good acidity and great minerality making the wine seem almost lean. A very good Chablis.
