Friday, April 18, 2014 - One of the best Carlisle zins I can ever remember that is now in it's prime. If there's better zin than this I would like to know what it is. From one of the best zin vineyards in California this zin is amazing.

Up until a couple of years ago Mike used to ship to me in NJ now I have to have the Carlisles shipped to my daughter in NY. It's a pain but worth it however. Carlisle is my largest holding in my cellar 244 bottles. I manage them very closely and none of them are near over the hill. I have only one bottle of the original 1998 release a petite sirah that I am saving.
Are you into the Bedrocks too? I like them too but they are not as good as the Carlisles yet but they will be as Morgan is a talented winemaker with a father Joel Peterson who knows alot about wine and has all the vineyard connections.

I prefer the Napa cabs, but really like Spain (priorat), and super tuscans. You can view my cellar, much smaller than yours! Hard to accumulate when it gets drained so frequently.

Makes some great rhone whites in addition to lots of reds from the same vineyards that Carlisle does. Bedrock's $20.00 old vines zin is tough to beat for the price. Mike Officer and Morgan are good friends.
I like cabs to but the prices are crazy for the better ones. I buy Myriad and Rivers Marie mostly.
I'll checkout your wine cellar. I'll also allow you access to mine.
