Saturday, September 22, 2012 - KYD #1.4: Beautiful intense buttered popcorn nose and still some pineapple fruit with a bit of oak. A wonderful expressive and complex nose yielding lots of vanilla, coffee, star-anise and melon fruit.
Intense pineapple and coffee palate with a beautiful and vibrating acidity and just a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Amazing flavors of butter and popcorn and a very long aftertaste that lingers forever.
A stunning wine and clearly a legendary bottle.
