Friday, May 9, 2014 - Poured this took a smell...what a wicked blow of BBQ pork, salami and pepper here, list ash and coals. awesome. there is a great lifted raspberry and strawberry, rhubarb component as well. Herbal bay leaf and savory. So delicate and nuanced. This wine is in a super sweet spot. After having cracked and opened this for about an hour this is honestly one of the best bottles of wine i've had in a long time (both of the 6 of these I have had and just in general)...this is simply a GREAT bottle. There are all sorts of indescribable elements to this that are delicious. It has a 3rd and 4th dimension. There is lifted fruit (like a cherry framboise), raspberry and cassis/strawberry/rhubarb compote with hints of chocolate and mocha so subtle on the finish. Vanilla almond and delicious elements of mineratlity and ash. This bottle rocks.
