Saturday, May 17, 2014 - Decanted and poured, this wine gave an excellent showing; however, it does begin muted and reserved. This wine improved with airing and developed aromatics of oyster shell, citrus, floral, chalk and green apple notes. The color is a youthful light yellow. The light to medium bodied palate begins reserved and somewhat one dimensional. Airings brings out more balance and depth on the palate. At this stage the wine gives a medium length finish with acidity giving the focus and precision. Based on this showing, the wine should benefit from a couple of years of additional bottle age.
