Friday, May 23, 2014 - Lovely color with a beautiful deep nose of cherry spices and a hint of cinnamon and violets. This is made in a real vin de garde style with the high acidity and firmness of the vintage quite apparent. Quite high-toned but with some air it reveals gorgeous deep cherry and spice flavors and seems to be one of those successful '96's that has buns of steel but is balanced by irresistible fruit and incredible class. Impossible to stop drinking as it got better and better in the glass showing perfect ripeness and lovely complex notes of the most amazing set of red spices and stony minerals. I love this but it is still very young and should live a very long time. Warning: don't serve to someone who loves Napa Cabernet or rich west coast Pinots! 95+

7/26/2014 1:10:00 AM - Thanks for another data point, I have been waiting for years for this to be ready. It seems to get better as it ages. Guess it is still too early to bring out a case from bond warehouse?
