Earthy and herbal, but not overwhelmingly so; the typical Bea brashness had evened out into a lighter, altogether more "refined" wine. You could say this was the best of both worlds: the unmistakable Montefalco terroir and Bea style, paired with elegance at 23 years of age. This was at its peak a year ago. Bottle #1157.
