On the palate, black cherry, purple fruit, black pepper, and a bit of savory tapenade, with strong acidity and smooth tannins on the finish. This still tastes young to me; although it's in its drinking window, it's still dominated by rich fruit, even with the acidity as strong as it is. It should come into better balance and develop more complexity given a few more years. At a bit under $50 this was good to very good value for money.
