Wednesday, October 8, 2014 - Dark in color, with fruit and smoke aromas dominating. Palate opens with a wave of rich blackberry compote and spice cake flavors, followed by some vanilla, mincemeat and smoke. Easy-drinking, intense fruit flavors (think The Prisoner), and a medium+ finish. Would pair well with BBQ ribs and the like. Zin-like in flavors.
