Sunday, August 19, 2007 - Dinner at Siggy's House: Notes from memory. Double decanted about two hours before serving. The color was a deeper and darker red than the other two CdPs served. I found the nose decent but a little wild -- a lot going on with no smells distinct enough to lock in on. Let's just say dark fruit, garrigue, and mineral. The taste had good fruit concentration but still came across as a very structured wine. The finish was decent. I have trouble seeing the resemblance to the 85, 88, and 94 tasted recently. An upper 80s effort on this night, but should develop into a low 90s wine (or even higher) with additional bottle age.
