Notes from 90 mins of decant

Nose was beautiful, inviting and very much true to form, pencil shavings sweet black and red fruit with a little spice. Concern grows with the depth and complexity of the palate, as showing today there isn't enough back bone in the wine, and although nicely balanced, it does not have NEARLY the linger I find in the 2009.

2006 being a average vintage, one should not expect perfection, thus I was still pleased with the bottle, however I do wonder of the aging potential for the 2006. Surely a few more years will help, but I do not see the potential for significant improvement. (91 - 92)
