Sunday, December 7, 2014 - The wine is deep purple, almost black. Powerful dark fruit driven nose; the hint of petit verdot is apparent. The pallette is predominantly dark cherry with a touch of pepper and a very nice bitter note from the well balanced tannins. The oak is subtle and adds a wonderful back note to a very nice young wine. The finish is a little astringent, but is relatively long; the fruit tails off, the pepper strengthens and the bitter note completes the experience.
