Decanted for 2 hours prior to drinking, and that was about right. Lots of delicious inky black fruit, smooth, lovely texture, long finish. It's definitely in it's drinking window.

Full bodied, velvety, lots of black fruit with a peppery overtone. Classics Barossa Shiraz, but not overly complex - maybe could do a few more years cellaring - certainly had enough tannins to keep for a while.

Good solid Barossa Shiraz, but not a lot of wow factor or interest. Certainly better as the wine breathed so maybe more of a medium term cellaring prospect.

The wine is deep purple, almost black. Powerful dark fruit driven nose; the hint of petit verdot is apparent. The pallette is predominantly dark cherry with a touch of pepper and a very nice bitter note from the well balanced tannins. The oak is subtle and adds a wonderful back note to a very nice young wine. The finish is a little astringent, but is relatively long; the fruit tails off, the pepper strengthens and the bitter note completes the experience.

Beautifully smooth Shiraz. Forward fruit flavours, resolving to a dry red wine finish.
