Monday, June 27, 2005 - Dark red color. Nose of Cola, cinnamon, clove, and all-spice as well as red and dark cherry and a whiff of blueberry. Tastes of pretty bing cherry, red currants, and a touch of leather and cedar bark. IMO, more tannic than the 2002 was at the same age, this wine shows exceptionally balanced with good acidity. The finish is long and definitely lasts 30 secs+. It's a Pinot that is true to its varietal and point of origin that can only be described as another master piece by Michael Browne. The RRV seems to have all the ingredients to age well, but can really be enjoyed right now. Simply awesome.
