Tuesday, February 24, 2015 - Dinner at RPM Steak (Chicago, IL): I had wanted so much to be wowed by this wine, but alas, it was not to be. A good dose of green pepper on the nose. Lots of fresh fruit on the palate -- ripe and black. Despite the ripe fruit, this seems to have way more acidity than I would have expected -- maybe this wasn't a 100% sound bottle? Quite a bit of power, but at the end of the day, the disparate elements weren't coming together and this bottle really didn't do it for me.
