Tuesday, February 17, 2015 - Dark garnet color turning rust orange at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose is very earthy with notes of leather, herbs, and tobacco. The palate is medium-to-full bodied with a silky texture and lively acidity. Flavors of black cherry, cigar box, beef blood, espresso, smoke and vanilla glide through a saline-tinged lining. Finishes long, smooth and persistent with hints of oregano and dried basil. Delicious and exotic. Balanced and elegant. What a treat! This has to be drunk now, but has a bit of a window left until 2019.
