Wednesday, March 4, 2015 - Decanted and tasted immediately. Smells good - fresh cherry, black pepper, light pine/herbs; the fruit is a touch candied, not in a bad way. Terrific tart acidity on the palate. Bright fresh fruit/hibiscus, with stony/mineral/earthy, peppery and piney/herbaceous accents. Lovely floral notes develop with a little air. Stony finish. Quite open and approachable (I'm doubtful that the decant was even called for), characterful, and tasty.
