Sunday, March 15, 2015 - Purple black color. Brooding and intense upon opening. This wine looked full bodied and viscous but was more medium body on the palate. That is one of the nuances of Bordeaux that I really enjoy. Decanted for 30 minutes. Aromatic bouquet of black currant and black cherry fruit. A smokiness with bittersweet dark chocolate flavours. Tannins still need some integration but they imparted sweetness as opposed to bitterness. Nice acidity made a perfect compliment to prime steak at Mortons. Long persistent finish. In 3-5 years this wine will be 94+. Highly Recommended and great QPR.
