88 Points

Friday, March 27, 2015 - Decanted 1 hour. For comparison, I'll note that the 2004 normalé is big, ripe, and (too) alcoholic. This is cut from the same mold but has a bit more restraint. Balsamico, cherry reduction, milk chocolate, but not a lot of complexity or finesse, with strong, fine, drying tannins on finish. Actually, it's extremely boring. I don't have confidence that it will improve much. 97 points from Suckling? Come on. Drink now-2018.
