Saturday, May 16, 2015 - Tasted blind, it is an interesting blend of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Merlot and small percentage of Pignolo.
Dark ruby, intense core and vibrant Crimson hue. Bottle breath for about 1+ hour.
It has a strong oak dominance nose with coconut and vanilla, along with some black fruits, black berry and sweet ripe fruits undertones.
On palate it exhibits rich ripe fruit, smooth but supple with nuances of black currant, dark cherry and some oakiness.
I guess this is an young Italian with ample of fruits and still dominant oak flavours. 18 months aging in barrique has a strong influence in this wine.
