Friday, May 29, 2015 - Garnet in color. Black licorice, cigar, black tea and a hint of spice. Still tight and a little tannic. Clearly still not ready for prime time drinking to my taste. Tasted over three hours, not decanted, but that probably would have helped. Some black cherry fruit mixed in with minerals, licorice, and after two hours it did open up showing increased depth and length. Stood up well to cheese Ravioli and red sauce.
