Saturday, October 3, 2015 - Coravin'ed. Dark rubis colour. On the nose, it is clearly of the Cos d'Estournel family. Open! Aromas of dark fruit with metallic overtones, coffee, slightly toasted bread and menthol. On the palate, the attack is frank but ripe with the same aromas as on the nose. Good length et fruit and coffee. Good balance, can be drunk now.

Coravin'ed. Belle robe rubis noir. 89

10/3/2015 6:07:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. Bless Coravin ;-). We notched up a bit to 90 and made the following comments: "The people at Cos d'Estournel Goulee keep on rolling out the winners with this blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Its voluptuous, slightly soft yet full-bodied and offers a nose and palate of coffee, dark fruits and liquorice. Shockingly drinking well now, but will continue to get better for decades to come. Please we have several more bottles in the cellar."

10/7/2015 7:04:00 AM - I'm still in the process of testing my Coravin and making sure that the wines don't evolve badly when accessed and Goulée 2011 was one of the tests. So far, so good! Yes, the Goulée 2011 is a good wine. I'll have to "access" one of my 2009s to see how it compares.

10/7/2015 8:29:00 PM - Good to hear some other feedback regarding Coravin. Fingers and toes crossed it continues to perform. We started an Around the World with Coravin pouring 150ml glasses (shared by 2 people) of 9 different wines yesterday (Argentina, Chile, China, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, South Africa and USA). We plan to test for the next 4+ weeks. Too much fun :-)
