Friday, October 9, 2015 - Cork looser than expected, although no signs of damage. Nose of black cherry, plum and cassis. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and subdued tannic structure. Has a lingering smoky characteristic on the palate which contributes subtly toward taming any bold fruit flavor. Decent medium length finish with a bit of heat at the end. Paired nicely with veal Parmesan. No blatant faults, just not particularly memorable either.
