Outperformed my expectations. Dark fruit, cedar, and mineral aromas develop herb and licorice tones. Complex, structured, and resolved, with layers of textures and ripe, fruit-driven flavors that are perfectly balanced and show beautiful bottle age savoriness. Spicy finish. Lovely.

Due to 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc the wine taste a little bit like a Cabernet Sauvignon, but just a little bit :) Definetly, the wine taste like a Napa Valley wine, warm, smooth and with a lot of mouthfeel, very nice ! Taste of ripe blackberry and plum plus some black cherry notes. Medium body. Unfortunately I had just one bottle left, otherwise I would have opened a second one ...

78% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Syrah, 1% Malbec, & 1% Petit Verdot. Decanted. No flaws, but not here to recommend. The '07 was much better. Napa cab far better at nearly the same price.

Cork looser than expected, although no signs of damage. Nose of black cherry, plum and cassis. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and subdued tannic structure. Has a lingering smoky characteristic on the palate which contributes subtly toward taming any bold fruit flavor. Decent medium length finish with a bit of heat at the end. Paired nicely with veal Parmesan. No blatant faults, just not particularly memorable either.

Pnp through a vinturri. Medium rubyesque in colour; has a nose of maraschino cherries and cassis with some hints of minty earth. Black plums, cassis, some black cherries on the palate; also some hints of green herbs were detected. Medium bodied with a short-medium finish. Good priced merlot for the weeknight.

medium depth garnet, clean and even. dark plum and cassis, integrated with beautiful cedar notes. moderate and velvety tannins, slightly sweet, round, superb balance. rich flavours lingering in medium finish with some mint and oak notes. flawless under this price tag.
very enjoyable Merlot, just saw some negative notes here, I assume what I got in the cellar door was benefited from long time breathing.
A very easy to drink Merlot. This wine is very soft. We did a blind wine tasting with a bottle of Robert Mondavi Merlot and a bottle of Robert Mondavi Cab Sauvignon both 2012. It was extremely difficult to tell the differences between the two and pick out the Merlot. There were 5 of us at the tasting. We all agreed that this Merlot was made in the same style as the Cab. Being that both wines are from Napa and the same wine maker. Both wines had the same terroir.

Excellent Merlot. I decanted for 90 minutes, but this wine has a hot 15% alcohol frame and could be decanted for 2-3 hours. The wine continued to evolve during the meal and this wine was the hit of the night. We enjoyed it with lasagne and I will order more. The legs were great, reminded me of a full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Expressive on the nose, but also a lot of alcohol on the nose. Dark plum and spices were very evident. The middle is solid and the finish is long. While a little disjointed, more cellar time will smoothen out the tannins. I think this wine will probably be at its peak from 2017-2020. If you decide to drink now, remember to decant for 2-3 hours.

This opaque crimson/ruby wine is lithe and expressive on the nose, but suffers on the palate. While the aromas of cassis, dark plum, camphor and allspice are carried through as flavors on the full-bodied palate, they are delivered in a tart, hot (15.0% alcohol) frame with edgy tannins. The middle is solid and leads to a medium-length, astringent (and borderline sour) finish. Right now this wine, while drinkable, is somewhat disjointed. In two years it should declare itself. The score could go significantly up or down, as it is hard to tell where this one is going. Drink 2017-2021.

Nice fruit, tight upon opening, but evolved nicely over the next hour or so.

Had this with Casey when we had steaks. It was 'dry'? Probably would pick something else next time, maybe I was just nervous being on the date.

good merlot but definitely different in style, concentration and taste when compared to French grounded merlots

Not a memorable wine. Fruity and lively nose. Some hints of black tea on the palate. Decent but not nearly complex or deep enough for the price.
