Friday, November 6, 2015 - Tasted in double-blind fashion from a bottle kindly provided by D.B., this wine retains a youthful opaque crimson robe. The aromas and flavors are likewise quite primary, with ripe blackberries, blueberries, smoke, bacon and coriander. Full-bodied, freshly acidic and with firm tannins, it has excellent mid-palate weight and shows no heat from its substantial (14.9%) alcohol. The finish is very long, albeit with some tannic grip. This will benefit from additional cellaring and should last a long time. Drink 2018-2030.
