Tuesday, November 17, 2015 - Camphor and ether on the nose. On the palate, cherry, rhubarb, strawberry, and a bit of white pepper, with light tannins and good acidity. Although this shows no sign of having been cooked like so many other 2003 Brunellos, it also doesn't have the power and complexity it should. This is good Sangiovese, and it's easy to drink, but it's not impressive as a Brunello should be. Below average value at about $40.
