Friday, December 4, 2015 - Wow - I have seen a few nice notes on this, and although I was excited to try this bubbly and the producer for the 1st time, I was blown away by how good this was. Lots of cut, with laser sharp citrus, a touch of green apple, and spice (white pepper?), that leads into a mineral laced finish with the razor sharp acidity and citrus pith leading the charge on the utterly delicious lip smacking finish that beckons, no, make that screams at you to take another sip. Wish I had purchased a case. I usually drink my Champers out of Zalto Universal glasses, but with all the chatter on WB about tulip shaped flutes, I decided to buy some (Stolzle Quatrophil). So, into the flutes this went. Very tight stream of small bubbles and it is nice to experience the effervescence of a good Champagne. The main difference I find between the 2 vessels is the Universal presents a more still wine expression, which I think I still prefer, but the tulip shape flute also has it's good points, which is mainly being able to enjoy the bubbles. Will be an interesting journey deciding which glass to use and is it more mood based or producer based.
