Sunday, December 13, 2015 - A beautiful vintage for Ornellaia that shows great class and restraint. Classic medium-mature Cab flavors of black fruit and cassis with a fine opulence and firm but supple tannins. This is class in a glass and shows what can be done here when fruit is picked at the right time. This is so much better than the overripe '01 which is considered the better vintage. It just goes to show how misguided general opinion and critics can be. Out of magnum and should continue to age beautifully.
