2009 Pujanza Rioja Hado

Community Tasting Note

54 Points

Sunday, January 10, 2016 - soft, ripe, black cherry nose with touch vanilla is a bit coarse and somewhat vegetal at first, but opens to some pleasant flowery notes and becomes brighter and more velvety after an hour. straightforward, slightly tannic attack with good acidity and a bit thin but ok fruit, hollow middle, and crude finish. a simple wine, but quite drinkable, and might improve.

4/11/2017 10:53:00 PM - From your tasting notes it seems closer to an 84 point wine than 54 points, which would mean essentially undrinkable (pour it down the drain) and not even use for cooking.

4/12/2017 5:02:00 AM - The CT ranking system will have already disregarded this low score, but it is really absurd to muddy the system's data with scores that do not conform to the community norm.

LOGOS: at 74 (well written!) tasting notes it is not too late to re-calibrate and align your scores with the rest of CT. I would ask you to consider doing so.
