90 Points

Sunday, December 9, 2007 - This was purchased from the winery young, and has changed significantly since. It aged quite well, becoming Burgundian with age (5 years post fermentation). In color, rusty around the edges. Earth, musk, cherry compote predominate the nose; slightly vegetal. With aeration, nice ripe fruit emerges. Judicious oak is apparent. Mouthfeel is adequate, but not coating. Acid backbone is still strong. Tannin is refined. Very elegant, rounded and subtle.
