  • This was purchased from the winery young, and has changed significantly since. It aged quite well, becoming Burgundian with age (5 years post fermentation). In color, rusty around the edges. Earth, musk, cherry compote predominate the nose; slightly vegetal. With aeration, nice ripe fruit emerges. Judicious oak is apparent. Mouthfeel is adequate, but not coating. Acid backbone is still strong. Tannin is refined. Very elegant, rounded and subtle.

  • Good black fruit, nice mouth feel and a good balance of oak & tannin. Enough acid to stand up to food well. Maybe just a hint of vegetation on the finish, but I'm being picky to try to rationalize why I didn't buy more at this price.

  • Lots of nice black cherry flavors, finishes with reasonable amount of oak. It married well with a Cuban-style pork roast. For the price, this was a really good Pinot, I will I had bought another couple of bottles.
