Tuesday, March 1, 2016 - Clear, medium intensity, garnet color.

Medium(+) intensity, complex nose with truckloads of barnyard, stable, funk and animals. Dried black plum, dried blackberry, moldy strawberry, cassis, garrigue spice, bayleaf, green bell pepper, tobacco, leather and decaying leaf.

Medium(+) body, medium(+) resolved tannins and medium acidity. Medium(+) intensity of flavors. Less funk and more fruit on the palate. A nice balance between dried and fresh black fruit, garrigue spice, green bell pepper, tobacco and leather. The finish is medium(+) and has a distinct smokiness to it, almost like smoked meat.

This bottle was in a great spot this night. A great mix of fruit, tertiary aromas and funkiness. Ready to drink!
