Sunday, December 30, 2007 - A garnet color with pretty and complex nose of rhubarb, pomegranate, cherry, and sassafras. Flavors however were more candied and reminiscient of cherry cough syrup. Some anise notes came on on the long finish. Alcohol too was a bit perceptible as well. This wine did work a little better with food than on its own.
